The core of a tubular gel battery lies in two technologies: first, tubular positive plates (cast from Pb-Ca alloy) that wrap the active material in corrosion-resistant tubes, greatly suppressing softening and shedding of active material and thus delivering far longer cycle life and corrosion resistance than ordinary flat plates; second, nano-silica gel electrolyte that replaces conventional liquid electrolyte with a three-dimensional gel structure, completely eliminating electrolyte stratification and working stably across a wide -40℃ to +60℃ range. This design also makes the battery maintenance-free — no water refilling in normal use, and it can run unattended for long periods after installation.

OPzV2 is a maintenance-free battery. Routine checks of appearance and terminal connections, keeping the surface clean with good ventilation, and setting charging parameters per the manufacturer's rated float voltage are sufficient. Its extremely low self-discharge and good deep-discharge recovery make it especially suitable for unattended sites and unstable mains conditions.
Reference charging parameters: float voltage 2.23V (25℃), temperature compensation -3mV/℃, equalize voltage 2.35V, cycle charging 2.40–2.45V, max charging current 0.20C10A. Use a charger that meets the specification and avoid overcharging or undercharging.
