Changsheng Battery Installation Instructions

1. Before installation, check whether the battery is damaged or leaking, and clean the battery surface with a dry cloth. If the battery case is damaged or leaking, replace the battery immediately to avoid acid corrosion.

2. The battery should be installed upright and must not be inverted. The distance between adjacent batteries should be greater than 2mm. The installation should also provide anti-vibration and anti-pressure protection and be firmly secured so that the batteries do not shake or rub against each other during use.

3. To ensure safe use, the battery box must have a ventilation hole of no less than 8 mm, and it must not be blocked, to prevent gas generated by the battery from accumulating inside the battery box.

4. Each battery should be connected in series with correct positive and negative polarity. The connection points should make good contact and must not produce sparks.Battery installation

5. Devices that easily produce sparks, such as electric door locks and fuse holders, should be isolated from the battery.

6. Batteries are shipped fully charged. In general, users can install them directly on the vehicle. However, if the battery has been stored for too long (more than 2 months), it should be recharged before use. Plug the charger into the battery box and connect it to 220V AC. When the charger indicator turns green, after charging for 1 to 2 hours, you can stop charging.

7. When driving an electric vehicle, it is best to charge the battery after about 80% of the power has been used. Do not wait until the battery is completely drained to charge it. If the battery runs out, turn off the power and do not force the vehicle to continue driving on the battery, to prevent battery life from being shortened by over-discharge. (The minimum battery protection voltage for a 36V electric bicycle is 31.5V, and 42V for a 48V electric bicycle.)

8. The charger used with the vehicle should match the battery pack and meet the requirements of the charger parameter table in this manual. Otherwise, battery performance will be impaired.

9. Electric vehicles do not need the battery to remain fully charged at all times; however, when the vehicle is left powered off, the battery must not be stored for a long period in a depleted state.

10. When the battery has been continuously charged for more than 10 hours and the charger still has not switched its indicator light, or the battery becomes hot, stop charging immediately and send the battery to the after-sales service department for inspection. It is strictly forbidden to continue charging when the charger indicator light has not changed.

11. Batteries of different models, different brands, or mixed new and old batteries must not be used together.

12. The battery should be kept away from fire and heat sources. In hot seasons, it is strictly forbidden to expose the battery directly to sunlight. The battery should be protected from severe vibration, impact, and short circuit of the positive and negative terminals.

13. Battery capacity is based on an ambient temperature of 25 degrees Celsius. For every 1 degree Celsius drop in temperature, the battery capacity decreases by about 1%. The ambient temperature should be taken into account during use.

14. The battery should not be used in low-temperature environments below -10 degrees Celsius.

15. The battery is a consumable item. After a period of charging and discharging, the battery capacity will gradually decrease, causing the driving range of the electric vehicle to shrink. This is a normal phenomenon. However, if the battery capacity falls below 60% of the standard value within the warranty period, it is considered a battery failure; please contact us promptly. After the warranty period, a capacity above 60% of the standard value is considered normal loss and is not covered by the warranty.

16. If the battery continues to be used after the warranty period, it should be handed over to the company professional maintenance staff for a comprehensive inspection. Only after confirming that there are no safety hazards should it continue to be used.

17. The electrolyte in the battery is a strongly corrosive acid. Do not splash it on skin or clothing. If it splashes on skin or eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water. If the condition is serious, seek hospital treatment.

18. Scrapped batteries should be handled by a recycling station (business) and must not be discarded.
